Fans were thrilled to witness a reunion between Aashiqui 2 stars Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur at an event in Mumbai on September 24. The duo was spotted exchanging friendly words while using umbrellas to shield themselves from the rain.

A paparazzi account shared a snapshot of this charming encounter on Instagram. Shraddha looked stunning in a black saree, flashing a bright smile at the photographers. Shortly after, Aditya appeared just behind her. Upon noticing him, Shraddha turned around, smiled, and the two embraced warmly.

In the past, Shraddha and Aditya were rumored to be dating. At a 2015 event, when asked about their relationship, Shraddha stated to IANS, "I have said this from day one, and I am saying it again, Aditya and I have been really good friends, and we will continue to be. We had a special experience during Aashiqui 2, not only for the two of us but also with Mohit Suri, and that will stay with us forever. I don't know when you guys will get tired of these kinds of questions."

The pair starred together in the 2013 musical blockbuster Aashiqui 2, which achieved tremendous box office success. They later collaborated again in the 2017 film OK Jaanu, a Hindi adaptation of Mani Ratnam's Tamil movie O Kadhal Kanmani.
