Actor Shraddha Kapoor is set to voice Judy Hopps in the Hindi version of Disney’s much-awaited sequel, Zootopia 2. The announcement was made just weeks before the animated film arrives in Indian theatres on November 28.

Judy Hopps — the spirited and determined rabbit cop who leads the franchise — remains one of Disney’s most loved characters. Shraddha’s addition as the Hindi voice aims to give the character a fresh connect with audiences across India.

Disney India revealed the news on Friday by posting a promotional image featuring Shraddha alongside Judy Hopps. The studio also shared a cheerful note from the actor.

“Super excited to join the Zootopia 2 family as the Hindi voice of the amazing Judy Hopps! She’s fierce, fearless, enthu-cutlet and of course adorable since forever. A special surprise drops tomorrow. Stay tuned! Zootopia 2 — in cinemas November 28,” the message read.

The sequel brings back Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as they dive into new adventures across the bustling, multi-species world of Zootopia. Directed by Jared Bush and Josie Trinidad, the film aims to expand on the humour, heart, and social commentary that made the 2016 original a global hit.

Zootopia 2 will also introduce new faces and fresh storylines, with the movie set to release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

Shraddha Kapoor most recently appeared in Stree 2, which premiered on August 15, 2024. The film was a major box-office success, crossing ₹875 crore worldwide and becoming one of the top-grossing Indian films ever. Work on its next sequel is already underway.
