Sonia Gandhi, accompanied by her son Rahul and daughter Priyanka, warmly embraced Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as they entered her room at a New Delhi event. The congenial meeting, captured in a video shared by the Congress party, highlighted discussions aimed at enhancing the longstanding bond between India and Bangladesh.

The encounter took place during Sheikh Hasina's visit to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's oath ceremony. Following the event, she engaged in a one-on-one interaction with PM Modi, expressing her congratulations and eagerness to collaborate with the new government to bolster bilateral relations.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud conveyed Sheikh Hasina's invitation to PM Modi to visit Bangladesh, underscoring the significance of continued dialogue and cooperation between the two nations.

Earlier in the day, Sheikh Hasina extended a courtesy visit to veteran BJP leader LK Advani at his residence in Delhi, reflecting the amicable ties between political figures across borders.
