Singer Sonu Nigam gave his fans an unusual glimpse into his hospital stay by sharing a video from the operating theatre, where he could be heard singing during his surgery.
In the clip posted on Instagram, Nigam performs Mohammed Rafi’s classic Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki from the 1949 film Dulari while medical professionals attend to him.
The singer described the moment as an impromptu performance for his doctor, Dr Nilesh Satbhai, and the medical team. He said he was singing despite the pain, calling it an expression of his "Joy of Music."
The video quickly attracted attention online, with fans flooding the comments with messages wishing the singer a smooth and speedy recovery.

Nigam has not disclosed why he underwent the surgery.
However, in June, the singer had spoken about suffering from a painful nerve-related condition. At the time, he said he was receiving treatment and had undergone multiple MRI and CT scans. He had also revealed that he was taking medication for the condition.
For now, Nigam's latest video has given fans a glimpse of his characteristic connection with music—even during an unexpected and difficult moment.
