A light-hearted online exchange between Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and politician-author Shashi Tharoor delighted fans on social media after the actor turned 60.

Tharoor, known for his witty posts, had shared a humorous birthday message suggesting that SRK was "ageing in reverse," comparing him to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. He joked, “I’m finding this ‘60’ number deeply suspicious. I suspect Shah Rukh Khan is actually starring in a real-life Bollywood version of Benjamin Button. At this rate, he’ll be auditioning for teenage roles by his 70th birthday. Mercifully, I may not be around when he becomes a child star.”

Responding to the post, Shah Rukh quipped, “Thank you. Although I’m sure you will be around to see me playing the ‘child star,’ and I’ll copy your hairstyle then. Ha ha…”

Throughout the day, the actor replied to several birthday wishes from his co-stars and friends in the film industry. To Akshay Kumar, who sang “Happy Birthday” for him, SRK said, “Thank you, Akki. You’ve taught me how to look sharp and think smart. Now teach me how to wake up early like a Khiladi!”

To Kajol, he wrote with affection, “Took your advice—didn’t count the candles. Actually, they didn’t even put them. Love you too much!”

Responding to Juhi Chawla, he said, “Thank you, Juhi—always so thoughtful. Tell me your next cause to support, and I’ll be right behind you.”

For veteran actor Anupam Kher, who posted a video message, SRK replied warmly, “Some of my fondest memories in cinema are with you. Let’s create a few more—maybe another film together soon?”

This year, Shah Rukh opted for a quieter celebration at his Bandra home. He cut a three-tier cake, met with fans in a private event, and later stepped out to wave to the crowd gathered outside Mannat.
