Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand clinched the prestigious Miss World 2025 crown at the grand finale held on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad. The reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic, passed on the crown in a dazzling ceremony that brought together beauty, purpose, and global representation.
Ethiopia’s Hasset Dereje secured the first runner-up position, followed by Poland’s Maja Klajda as the second runner-up. Aurlie Joachim from Martinique completed the top four.
Who Is Opal Suchata Chuangsri?
Hailing from Phuket, Opal is pursuing a degree in international relations and is also a professional model. Beyond the glitz of pageantry, she is deeply committed to raising awareness about breast cancer. Her advocacy stems from a personal experience—at age 16, she discovered a benign lump in her breast, which sparked her mission to educate others about early detection.
During the finale, Opal wore a shimmering gown she described as a tribute to the journey of "Opal For HER"—a symbolic nod to the gemstone’s association with beauty, strength, and transformation.
Opal previously represented Thailand at Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico City, finishing as the third runner-up. However, she later forfeited that title after accepting the Miss World Thailand 2025 crown before completing her Miss Universe Thailand tenure.
