His comments followed a recent phone call with PM Modi, during which a range of topics was discussed.
Trump, who has vowed to implement the most extensive deportation program in US history, highlighted the ongoing collaboration between India and the US on this matter. According to a Bloomberg report, both nations have identified approximately 18,000 Indians living in the US without legal documentation.
Adding to the discussions, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently met with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. During the meeting, Rubio reiterated America's commitment to addressing concerns around irregular migration and enhancing bilateral cooperation on immigration-related challenges.
