On Sunday, Republican candidate Donald Trump made an unexpected stop at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, where he served french fries while campaigning for the upcoming U.S. presidential election. The 78-year-old former president, who is neck-and-neck with Democrat Kamala Harris in the race for the White House, sported a black-and-yellow apron over his white shirt and signature red tie. He was seen frying and seasoning batches of potatoes before passing them through the drive-thru window to his supporters outside of Philadelphia.

"I’m really enjoying this," Trump said, adding, "I've always wanted to work at McDonald’s," in a video posted to his official X (formerly Twitter) account.

Trump’s visit was a playful dig at Harris, who has previously mentioned her experience working at the fast-food chain in her youth. Trump, poking fun at her past remarks, said, "I’ve already worked 15 minutes more than Kamala ever did at McDonald’s."

When told it was Harris’s 60th birthday, Trump humorously added that he might send her flowers, and with a smile, suggested, "Maybe I’ll get her some fries."

As the U.S. presidential election approaches, both Trump and Harris are focusing their campaigns in key battleground states like Pennsylvania.
