Veteran singer Udit Narayan has reacted to viral videos showing him kissing female fans during a live performance, calling it an expression of "fans' love and craze" rather than anything inappropriate.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Narayan addressed the backlash, emphasizing that such moments are spontaneous and fueled by fan enthusiasm. "Fans are extremely passionate. I am a decent person, and I don't see any reason to make a big deal out of this," he said. He added that in large crowds, some fans express their excitement through gestures like handshakes or kisses, and such incidents should not be overly scrutinized.

The controversy erupted after two videos surfaced on social media. In one, a female fan approached him for a selfie and attempted to kiss him on the cheek, but the singer turned his head, resulting in a lip-to-lip kiss. In another, a fan went in for a hug, and he again appeared to reciprocate with a kiss on the lips.

While the videos have sparked debate online, Udit Narayan remains unfazed, stating that fans' enthusiasm should be understood rather than criticized.
