Actor Urmila Matondkar has filed for divorce from her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, after eight years of marriage. A source close to the couple confirmed that the divorce petition was filed in Bandra, Mumbai, and reports indicate that the separation is not mutual, having taken place four months ago.

The 50-year-old actor made the decision after careful consideration, although the specific reasons for the separation have not been disclosed. Notably, while Urmila follows 150 people on Instagram, Mohsin is not among them. Despite this, she has not removed photos of them together; the last shared post featuring the couple was from Eid 2023, where she expressed wishes for peace and harmony.

Earlier this year, Urmila celebrated Mohsin's birthday with a heartfelt post, praising his kind nature and spirit. She also marked their seventh wedding anniversary with a nostalgic post, highlighting their joyful life together.

Urmila married Mohsin, a Kashmiri businessman and model, in an intimate ceremony in 2016, attended by close friends and family. The couple reportedly met through mutual friend and celebrity designer Manish Malhotra. As of now, both have yet to publicly comment on the divorce. Urmila is known for her roles in films such as Dillagi, Khoobsurat, Om Jai Jagdish, and Judai, among others.
