US Deports Gangster Anmol Bishnoi to India After Verdict in Baba Siddiqui Murder Case
Anmol Bishnoi, accused in multiple high-profile crimes including the killing of Baba Siddiqui, has been sent back to India by US authorities
18-11-2025The United States has sent back Anmol Bishnoi—brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and an accused in several high-profile criminal cases—to India. The deportation took place on November 18, 2025, according to an email from the US Department of Homeland Security to Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of murdered NCP leader Baba Siddiqui. Anmol is expected to land in India on November 19.
Anmol Bishnoi has long been on India’s radar for his alleged involvement in multiple major crimes. He is a key suspect in the killing of politician Baba Siddiqui in October 2024 and is also named in the conspiracy behind the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in May 2022. Another case against him links him to gunfire outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra in April 2024.
Although Anmol was detained in the US last year, his arrest was not related to any of these Indian cases; he was held for illegally entering the country. Soon after his detention, Indian authorities initiated efforts to bring him back. A non-bailable warrant from a Maharashtra court and a Red Corner Notice from Interpol supported the request, though officials initially believed he might avoid extradition due to an asylum plea filed before US authorities.
Anmol’s name had gained further notoriety after the National Investigation Agency added him to its Most Wanted list and announced a reward of ₹10 lakh for information leading to his capture. Investigators say 18 cases are registered against him, including those accusing him of supplying arms and logistical backing to the assailants who shot Moosewala. Gangster Goldy Brar first claimed responsibility for that murder before alleging it was retaliation for the killing of a political rival.
The Bishnoi gang itself saw major internal turmoil earlier this year. Reports suggest that Lawrence Bishnoi’s fallout with Goldy Brar and gangster Rohit Godara was triggered by dissatisfaction over their alleged failure to help Anmol secure legal relief in the United States. After securing bail—along with being required to wear a GPS tracker—Anmol became the centre of the gang rivalry that eventually split Lawrence’s alliance with Brar. Lawrence later aligned himself with the faction led by Noni Rana, brother of Haryana criminal Kala Rana.
Anmol had also publicly taken responsibility for the shooting outside Salman Khan’s home, with investigators stating that he delivered a nine-minute motivational speech to gunmen Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal before the attack. Police maintain that he was similarly in communication with those involved in the killing of Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead on October 12, 2024, outside his son’s office.
