The track, which gained rapid popularity across South Asia, faced removal after claims of copyright infringement stemming from its resemblance to a classic piece originally performed by iconic Pakistani artist Noor Jehan in the 1973 film "Banarasi Thug."
Despite accumulating millions of views within a month of its April 2024 release, Khan's version of "Bado Badi" was taken down from the platform.
The song garnered significant attention not only in Pakistan but also in neighboring countries like India and Bangladesh.
Chahat Fateh Ali Khan gained prominence during the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 with his music videos shared on various online platforms. His repertoire includes tracks like "Pyara PSL," "Lota Lota," "Gol Kattara," and "Tu Chor Chor Chor," known for their repetitive beats and altered lyrics from existing songs, often sparking debate among listeners.
