The upcoming Delhi Assembly elections have sparked a poster battle between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), with both parties borrowing inspiration from the blockbuster film Pushpa 2.

AAP launched its campaign with a striking poster featuring Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal styled as the movie's protagonist, holding the party's iconic 'jhaadu' (broom) on his shoulder. The tagline, "Kejriwal Jhukega Nahi," echoes the cult dialogue from the film, while the words "4th Term Coming Soon" highlight the party’s ambition to secure another victory following its sweeping wins in 2013, 2015, and 2020.

In response, the Delhi BJP unveiled its own Pushpa-inspired poster featuring Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva seated on a throne. The poster’s bold slogan, "Bhrashtachariyon Ko Khatam Karenge" (will finish the corrupt), was accompanied by the dialogue “Rappa-Rappa,” mimicking the movie's iconic tone.

The AAP is aiming to retain its dominance in the Delhi Assembly, having secured massive mandates in the past, winning 67 out of 70 seats in 2015 and 63 in 2020. Meanwhile, the BJP sees the upcoming election as a critical opportunity to reclaim power in the national capital after being out of office since 1998.

Both parties have escalated their rivalry through various media platforms, utilizing slogans, posters, memes, and animated videos to target each other. The BJP recently launched the slogan, "Ab Nahi Sahenge, Badal Kar Rahenge" (won't tolerate now, will bring change), promising to end AAP’s rule. It has accused AAP of corruption and failing to provide adequate basic services during its decade-long governance.

On the other hand, AAP has intensified its criticism of the BJP-led central government, focusing on the law-and-order situation in Delhi. The party has highlighted incidents of crime to attack Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP's leadership. AAP has also released a series of digital campaigns to amplify its message.

As the election nears, this creative poster war reflects the fierce competition between the two parties, setting the stage for a heated political battle in the capital.
