Just under two weeks after the resolution of the airline's cabin crew strike, the Air India Express Employees Union (AIXEU) has raised concerns regarding flight delays and cancellations. They have highlighted the impact of reduced departures on cabin crew salaries and cited issues with airport entry passes, leaving over 100 crew members without flying duties for two months.

The strike, which ended on May 9 after discussions facilitated by the Chief Labour Commissioner, aimed to address perceived mismanagement issues.

In a recent letter to the commissioner, the union attributed flight disruptions to the loss of cabin crew data during a software transition. They have called for urgent intervention to address the situation, emphasizing the link between flight hours and salaries.

While Air India Express has not commented officially, an airline representative attributed some issues to the transition period and sick leave following the strike.

The next conciliation meeting is scheduled for May 28.
