An Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was diverted to New Delhi this morning due to a security alert. The flight, carrying 239 passengers, made an emergency landing at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. All passengers and crew were safely evacuated following the landing.

According to an Air India spokesperson, "Flight AI119, en route from Mumbai to JFK on October 14, was diverted to Delhi after receiving a specific security warning. This was done following instructions from the government's security regulatory authorities. All passengers have disembarked and are currently at the terminal in Delhi."

The aircraft was moved to an isolated area at the airport, where security agencies, including bomb disposal squads, conducted thorough inspections. Officials confirmed that standard safety procedures were being strictly adhered to, ensuring the safety of all those involved.

"The plane is stationed at IGI Airport, and safety protocols are being followed to secure the passengers and crew," a senior police officer stated.

Further details have not yet been provided by Air India, as investigations into the security alert are ongoing. Authorities are collaborating with security personnel to assess the situation, and passengers are awaiting further updates.
