According to an Air India spokesperson, "Flight AI119, en route from Mumbai to JFK on October 14, was diverted to Delhi after receiving a specific security warning. This was done following instructions from the government's security regulatory authorities. All passengers have disembarked and are currently at the terminal in Delhi."
The aircraft was moved to an isolated area at the airport, where security agencies, including bomb disposal squads, conducted thorough inspections. Officials confirmed that standard safety procedures were being strictly adhered to, ensuring the safety of all those involved.
"The plane is stationed at IGI Airport, and safety protocols are being followed to secure the passengers and crew," a senior police officer stated.
