In a recent hit-and-run incident in Mumbai, a 28-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a speeding BMW. The accident occurred on July 20 in the Worli area.

The victim, Vinod Laad, was returning home on his two-wheeler when a BMW, driven by Kiran Indulkar, collided with him from behind. Indulkar fled the scene, leaving Vinod severely injured. Local residents rushed Vinod to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries a week later.

Police have filed a case against Kiran Indulkar, who has since been arrested.

This incident marks the third hit-and-run case in Mumbai within a month. On July 7, a similar accident in Worli resulted in the death of a woman and injuries to her husband when a BMW, driven by Mihir Shah—the son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah—crashed into their scooter. On July 22, a speeding Audi hit two auto-rickshaws, injuring the drivers and two passengers.

The recent spate of hit-and-run accidents has raised concerns about road safety in the city.
