Arvind Kejriwal urges a fair investigation into the alleged assault on MP Swati Maliwal by his aide Bibhav Kumar
22-05-2024Delhi Chief Minister and AAP party chief Arvind Kejriwal expressed his expectation for a fair investigation into the alleged assault on Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal by his aide Bibhav Kumar. Speaking to PTI, Kejriwal emphasized the need for justice and highlighted that the matter is currently sub-judice, cautioning that his comments could influence the proceedings.
"I expect a fair investigation. Justice should be served. There are two versions of the event. Police should investigate both versions fairly and ensure justice is done," Kejriwal stated.
Swati Maliwal has accused Bibhav Kumar of brutally assaulting her, continuing even after she informed him she was on her period. Following the incident, Maliwal reported soreness in her arms and difficulty walking.
