The Justice Juvenile Board revoked the bail granted to the 17-year-old boy accused of causing a fatal accident in Pune. Instead, the board ordered his placement in the Children Observation Centre.

The Pune police had sought for the minor to be treated as an adult during prosecution due to the severity of the crime. Amitesh Kumar, Pune Police Commissioner, confirmed that they had filed a review application with the Juvenile Justice Board for this purpose.

The board's decision to send the accused to a remand home for 15 days, until June 5, was communicated to the police. However, the final decision regarding his trial as an adult is pending further investigation. Additionally, Maharashtra Transport Commissioner Vivek Bhimanwar announced that the teen would be prohibited from obtaining a driver's license until he reaches the age of 25.

Furthermore, state transport officials disclosed that the permanent registration of the Porsche Taycan involved in the incident had been stalled due to outstanding fees.

The teenager also faced new charges under section 185 for driving under the influence of alcohol and appeared before a juvenile court. In a separate development, Vishal Agarwal was presented before a Pune court and remanded to police custody until May 24.
