The Bengaluru airport authorities have reversed a recently introduced fee structure that required private and commercial vehicles to pay for accessing the airport premises.
This decision was made just hours after announcing that travel to and from Kempegowda International Airport would become more expensive starting Monday.
The initial notification stipulated that commercial vehicles, including those operated by cab services such as Ola and Uber, would need to pay an entry fee of Rs 150 for up to seven minutes. If the vehicles exceeded this seven-minute window, the fee would increase to Rs 300.
The proposed fee structure was intended to be implemented at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 of the airport.
