The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) escalated its criticism of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday with a provocative poster titled "Scam 2024," drawing parallels with the famous OTT series Scam 1992 based on the Harshad Mehta stock market fraud. The BJP accused Kejriwal of voter list manipulation, branding him a "big fraud" in the poster.

In response, AAP fired back with a counter-poster portraying Kejriwal as the "G.O.A.T." or "Greatest Of All Time." The video, shared by the party, featured Kejriwal in a heroic avatar with visuals of government schools and hospitals in the background, resembling a scene from actor Vijay's movie G.O.A.T.

The BJP alleged that the voter list in Delhi had been manipulated to include fake registrations, particularly from a "specific community." In a tweet accompanying the "Scam 2024" poster, the party claimed:
"Kejriwal's new ploy in Delhi! Attempt to retain power through vote rigging. Hundreds of fake votes were created under a single address, without the homeowner's knowledge, from voters aged 40 to 80, belonging to a particular community."

Earlier in the week, the BJP released another satirical poster targeting Kejriwal, calling him a "chunavi Hindu" (a Hindu for election purposes). This followed Kejriwal's promise of Rs. 18,000 monthly allowances for temple priests and gurdwara granthis ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections. The poster depicted Kejriwal in a priestly costume reminiscent of a character played by Rajpal Yadav in Bhool Bhulaiyaa, complete with rudraksha beads, flower garlands, and vermilion.

AAP dismissed the BJP’s accusations, alleging that the party was engaging in voter manipulation and vote-buying tactics. The war of words between the two parties has intensified as Delhi approaches its Assembly elections, where voters will select 70 legislators by February.

Both parties continue to trade barbs, with the BJP focusing on allegations of corruption and false promises by Kejriwal, while AAP counters with claims of its governance record in education and healthcare.
