On Wednesday, August 21, legendary Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel, quickly setting a new record for the platform. Ronaldo achieved the fastest milestone of reaching 1 million subscribers in just 90 minutes. Within less than a day of its launch, his channel amassed over 11 million subscribers.

Ronaldo announced the launch of his channel through his social media accounts, where he has a substantial following. His social media reach includes 112.5 million followers on X, 170 million on Facebook, and 636 million on Instagram.

In his announcement, Ronaldo shared: "The wait is over. My @YouTube channel is finally here! SIUUUbscribe and join me on this new journey." Shortly after releasing his first video, his subscriber count surged to 1.69 million.

Currently, Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. Despite a notable presence in Euro 2024, he was unable to secure a title for his team. At 39 years old, Ronaldo is approaching the latter stages of his illustrious career. Although his physical fitness remains exceptional, his goal-scoring prowess has diminished, as evidenced during his European campaign where he struggled to find the net in crucial moments.

Looking ahead, Ronaldo is expected to transition into content creation and expand his business ventures as he nears retirement.
