03-11-2024CCTV footage has emerged showing members of the Bambiha Gang, rivals of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, involved in a shooting at a Delhi businessman's home. The video captures two men on a motorcycle outside the residence. One of them tosses a note marked “Bambiha Gang” inside the property before opening fire, shooting eight times at the house before the recording cuts off.
Officials revealed that the shooter recorded the incident and later sent the footage to contacts in the United States. The shooting occurred on October 26 in Rani Bagh, Northwest Delhi, around 8:40 pm.
According to police reports, suspects Bilal Ansari, 22, and Shuheb, 21, carried out the attack to extort ₹15 crores from the businessman. On October 28-29, Delhi Police’s Special Cell received information that the shooters would meet associates in the Kakrola area. Officers conducted a stakeout near the Kakrola drain road toward Najafgarh around 2:15 am.
When the suspects approached on a motorcycle, police signaled them to stop. They attempted to turn but lost control and fell. One suspect then drew a pistol and fired at the officers, prompting police to respond in self-defense, reportedly injuring one suspect’s leg.
Both suspects were detained, and police recovered a semi-automatic pistol, a single-shot firearm, and six live cartridges.
