Luxury hotel tariffs in Delhi have surged dramatically as the capital prepares to host the India AI Impact Summit 2026, scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam from February 16 to February 20. With thousands of international delegates expected, five-star properties across the city are charging significantly higher-than-usual rates, in some cases nearly doubling standard pricing.

The summit is set to bring together leading figures from the global technology ecosystem, including Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, Microsoft President Brad Smith, and Nvidia founder Jensen Huang. Policymakers, AI researchers, and industry executives from around the world are also slated to attend.

According to government estimates, more than 35,000 registrations from participants across over 100 countries have already been recorded, fueling intense demand for premium accommodations.

A review of hotel listings on Booking.com shows steep costs for summit dates. A four-night stay at the Radisson Blu Plaza near Delhi’s IGI Airport is priced at approximately ₹1.6 lakh per guest, with similar rates observed at Vivanta New Delhi in Dwarka. Meanwhile, guests looking to book rooms at the Sheraton in Saket may have to pay upwards of ₹2.2 lakh for the same duration, while Holiday Inn near Mayur Vihar lists rooms at nearly ₹3 lakh.

Prices climb further at ultra-luxury properties. The Taj Palace in Chanakyapuri is charging over ₹4 lakh per guest for the four-day stay, while The Oberoi’s rates approach ₹6 lakh. The Claridges also reflects premium pricing around ₹4 lakh. The Leela Palace, at the top end, lists rooms at close to ₹12.8 lakh, with additional taxes pushing the overall cost even higher.

Hospitality industry insiders note that hotel demand during this period is being intensified not only by the AI summit but also by the ongoing T20 World Cup matches in Delhi, creating a rare overlap of high-profile international events.
