For the first time, a prime minister's public gathering will utilize a commercial ticketing platform to manage attendance. The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) partnered with BookMyShow to coordinate free registrations for the "NaMo for Viksit Bharat" event at the Maharaja Sayajirao University Pavilion.

  • Rapid Public Response: Available seats filled within one hour of opening, leaving over 42,000 applicants on a waiting list before registrations officially closed.

  • Paperless Entry Protocol: Attendees will gain entry via dynamic QR codes on electronic M-tickets distributed through their BookMyShow accounts.

  • Event Objective: The program aims to convene students, industry leaders, educators, and civil society members to outline strategic goals for the nation's 2047 development roadmap.

Key Infrastructure Unveilings

Prime Minister Modi's Vadodara schedule includes inaugurating, dedicating, and laying foundation stones for projects valued at more than ₹35,000 crore:

  • Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (over ₹20,700 crore): Dedication of three corridor sections spanning 326 km, fully operationalizing the network to link northern India directly with Mumbai's Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT).

  • Rail Connectivity (over ₹9,700 crore): Dedication of the Jobat–Tanda Road line to integrate tribal regions of Alirajpur into the national network, alongside foundation laying for three additional rail projects covering 329 km.

  • Highway Infrastructure (₹1,780 crore): Laying foundation stones for three major regional highway expansion projects.

  • State and Municipal Works (₹2,600 crore): Phase two of the Vadodara ring road, a 110 MW floating solar initiative at Kadana Dam, a new municipal corporate office, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) housing units, and a rural water supply scheme servicing 11 villages.

In addition to infrastructure inaugurations, new freight operations will be flagged off from hubs including New Sanand, New Makarpura, New Umbergaon, and New JNPT, along with a passenger service connecting Vadodara to Tanda Road.
