29-09-2024A Delhi Police constable was tragically killed in the early hours of Sunday after being struck by a liquor supplier’s car in the Nangloi area. The vehicle involved in the incident has been recovered by the police, but the driver remains at large.
Sources revealed that the constable, stationed at the Nangloi police station, had received a tip-off about an approaching car suspected to be involved in liquor supply. When he attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver ignored the signal and rammed into the constable.
The constable was reportedly dragged for about 10 meters before the car collided with another vehicle, resulting in his death.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m., and senior police officials have since arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation. Efforts to apprehend the driver are ongoing.
