Two sisters from Vasundhara Enclave in East Delhi, Bhavya and Charvi Jain, were arrested after a series of disruptive and violent actions that included threatening an elderly resident, driving recklessly around their residential complex, and injuring several people.
CCTV footage from the complex shows the sisters driving aggressively, hitting multiple people, including police personnel, and damaging several vehicles in their path. The incident reportedly started late Friday night when the sisters repeatedly honked their car horn within the complex. Ashok Sharma, a 70-year-old retired police officer living in the building, asked them to stop, which allegedly prompted a series of retaliatory actions from the sisters.
The following day, Bhavya and Charvi allegedly damaged flower pots at Sharma’s residence, entered his home, and threatened him with a knife. When police were called, the sisters initially barricaded themselves inside their flat, refusing to come out for hours. Upon emerging, they began driving wildly around the complex, damaging parked vehicles, injuring several residents, striking a police vehicle, and ultimately breaking through the society’s entrance barrier.
This isn’t the first confrontation involving the sisters. On September 5, they reportedly lured a security guard, Akhilesh Kumar, to their apartment under the guise of checking the water supply, then assaulted him, even burning him with a steam iron. After this incident, the police registered a case, and officers attempting follow-up visits to their flat were met with closed doors.
The two sisters, both college graduates but currently unemployed, were arrested by Noida police after this latest altercation, adding to a list of cases filed against them.
