Diljit Dosanjh has received a legal notice from a disappointed fan who claims to have been unfairly treated in the ticket sales process for his upcoming Dil-Luminati India Tour. The fan, Riddhima Kapoor, a law student based in Delhi, has accused the tour organizers of violating consumer rights and engaging in unfair practices.

In her legal notice, Kapoor alleges that the ticket booking process was manipulated. She states that although tickets were supposed to be available starting September 12 at 1 pm, they were actually accessible a minute earlier, leading to a rapid sell-out. Kapoor, who had procured an HDFC Credit Card specifically for early-bird access, was unable to secure a ticket.

Kapoor's notice asserts that this sudden availability of tickets suggests manipulation and scalping. She contends that the organizers' actions reflect an attempt to artificially inflate demand and manipulate prices, which she argues constitutes a violation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

The legal notice has also been sent to Zomato, HDFC Bank, and Saregama Pvt Ltd, though none of the parties have yet responded.

Diljit Dosanjh's Dil-Luminati Tour is set to begin on October 26, 2024, at Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The tour will visit ten cities, including Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, and Bangalore. Tickets, which were available in two categories, sold out quickly, with prices starting at Rs 12,999 for the Gold category and Rs 19,999 for the Fan Pit.
