During the 121st edition of his radio program 'Mann Ki Baat' on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly denounced the terror attack in Pahalgam, calling it a desperate move by the adversaries of Kashmir and India to hinder the region’s remarkable progress.

PM Modi highlighted how Kashmir had seen exceptional development in recent years, with tourism thriving, educational institutions bustling with activity, and growing avenues for the youth. He pointed out that such advancements had frustrated those who support terrorism.

"Just when Kashmir was witnessing a return of peace, democracy was being strengthened, schools and colleges were full of life, tourism was reaching new heights, and young people were finding new opportunities, the enemies of Jammu and Kashmir and of India could not tolerate this," he said. "Terrorists are attempting once again to drag Kashmir back into darkness."

The Prime Minister also shared that numerous world leaders had reached out to him through calls, letters, and messages, expressing solidarity with India and condemning the attack in strong terms.

"Leaders from across the globe have shown their support — they have condemned this brutal act of terror and expressed their commitment to stand with the 1.4 billion people of India in our fight against terrorism," Modi said.

He assured the nation that justice would be served for those who lost their lives in the attack. Modi emphasized that those behind the planning and execution of the assault would face the strictest possible punishment.
