Fire Erupts in Taj Express Coaches in Delhi; No Injuries Reported
A fire broke out in three coaches of the Taj Express in Delhi's Sarita Vihar, with no injuries reported, according to the Delhi Fire Service
03-06-2024A fire erupted in three coaches of the Taj Express train in Delhi's Sarita Vihar on Monday afternoon, as reported by the Delhi Fire Service. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Five fire tenders were promptly dispatched to the scene to manage the blaze.
Railway DCP KPS Malhotra confirmed that there were no injuries from the incident. "We received a PCR call at 4:41 pm regarding a fire on a train. Upon arrival, we found that three coaches of the Taj Express were on fire. The train has been halted, and passengers have moved to other coaches and safely deboarded. The railways are taking further action," Malhotra stated.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
