Breaking away from extravagant billionaire weddings, Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani opted for a simple and traditional celebration as his son, Jeet Adani, married Diva Jaimin Shah. Instead of a lavish affair, Adani marked the occasion with a substantial philanthropic gesture—pledging ₹10,000 crore towards social welfare initiatives.

A source close to the industrialist revealed that this significant donation would benefit society in various ways. "A large portion of the funds will be allocated to healthcare, education, and skill development projects. These initiatives aim to create a network of high-quality, affordable hospitals, medical colleges, top-tier K-12 schools, and advanced skill academies with assured employment opportunities," the source said, requesting anonymity.

Jeet Adani’s wedding, held at the Belvedere Club in Ahmedabad’s Adani Shantigram township, was a private family event steeped in tradition. Unlike high-profile weddings featuring luxury jets and celebrity performances, the ceremony was intimate, aligning with Gautam Adani’s prior statements about keeping the celebration simple.

During his visit to the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj on January 21, Adani had emphasized that his son’s wedding would not be a star-studded spectacle. "We are like common people. Jeet came here to seek Maa Ganga’s blessings. His marriage will be a simple and traditional affair," he had stated.

Taking to social media platform X, Gautam Adani shared glimpses from the ceremony, expressing gratitude while apologizing for not being able to invite all well-wishers. "With the blessings of the Almighty, Jeet and Diva have entered a new phase of life. It was a small and private function, and though we wished to, we couldn't invite everyone. I seek your love and blessings for my daughter Diva and Jeet," he wrote.

Two days before the wedding, Adani introduced “Mangal Seva,” an initiative aimed at supporting newly married women with disabilities. Under this program, 500 women will receive ₹10 lakh each annually in the initial phase. As part of the launch, Jeet Adani personally met 21 newly married differently-abled women and their spouses.

Jeet Adani has played a key role in Adani Foundation’s partnership with Mitti Social Initiatives Foundation. Mitti Cafés at Adani Group’s Mumbai and Lucknow airports provide employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities, fostering inclusivity. In 2023, he also initiated the GreenX Talks series, showcasing inspiring stories of resilience from people with disabilities.

Ahead of their wedding, Jeet and Diva visited the Mitti Café in Ahmedabad, personally inviting the staff to the ceremony and sharing a celebratory cake with them.

The youngest son of Gautam and Priti Adani, Jeet joined the Adani Group in 2019 after studying at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He began his career in the Group CFO’s office, gaining expertise in capital markets, risk management, governance policies, and strategic finance. He later took on leadership roles across multiple business verticals, including airports, defence, petrochemicals, and digital transformation.

Currently serving as Director of Adani Airport Holdings, Jeet oversees India's largest airport infrastructure company, which manages and develops eight airports. His elder brother, Karan Adani, is the CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ (APSEZ), spearheading the group’s infrastructure and logistics ventures.

Inspired by his mother, Priti Adani, who transformed the Adani Foundation into a major force for social change, Jeet is deeply committed to philanthropy. He has played a crucial role in the foundation’s efforts to support people with disabilities and facilitate impactful collaborations.

Jeet Adani is also involved in mentoring and supporting differently-abled entrepreneurs through Shark Tank. As part of a special initiative titled “Gateway to Shark Tank – Divyang Special,” he and investor Anupam Mittal discussed the importance of fostering innovation for people with disabilities. The initiative invites applications until February 15, after which selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas in the ongoing season of Shark Tank.

"There is immense potential in this space," Jeet Adani stated in an earlier interview. "We need passionate individuals to develop solutions that address challenges faced by people with disabilities. I am eager to collaborate and support entrepreneurs to drive meaningful change."
