Global leaders extend congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following his BJP-led alliance's victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, paving the way for a third consecutive term in office.

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay took to Twitter to congratulate PM Modi, expressing anticipation for bolstering bilateral relations and commending India's strides under his leadership.

Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' also lauded PM Modi's electoral success, highlighting the significance of India's democratic process and expressing optimism for continued collaboration between the two nations.

In response, PM Modi thanked his Nepali counterpart, emphasizing the importance of strengthening the India-Nepal friendship.

Despite ongoing diplomatic tensions, Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu extended congratulations to PM Modi, affirming commitment to advancing mutual interests and fostering stability between the two nations.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveyed warm congratulations to PM Modi, expressing optimism for further elevation of India-Israel relations.

Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe hailed PM Modi's victory, expressing eagerness to enhance bilateral ties between India and Sri Lanka.

In response, PM Modi underscored the significance of the India-Sri Lanka partnership and expressed gratitude for Wickremesinghe's support.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni congratulated PM Modi and affirmed commitment to strengthening the friendship between Italy and India.

PM Modi reciprocated, emphasizing the shared values and interests that underpin the India-Italy strategic partnership.

Despite falling short of the majority mark, the BJP secured 240 seats, with crucial support from alliance partners like N Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Nitish Kumar's JD(U), enabling the NDA to clinch 292 seats and secure a government.
