Heated Argument Between Bengaluru Uber Driver and Passenger Sparks AC Dispute
Dr. Atharv Dawar recounted that the driver, who initially conversed in Hindi, abruptly adopted a rude demeanor
21-05-2024X user Dr. Atharv Dawar found himself in a heated argument with a cab driver in Bengaluru after asking for the air conditioner to be turned on. Dawar documented the incident on his phone and later shared it on social media, igniting widespread discussion.
In his post, Dawar recounted the events leading up to the confrontation. Initially hesitant to enter the cab due to its unclean condition and non-functional AC, he eventually boarded the vehicle. Once the journey began, he requested the driver to switch on the AC, which led to a dispute.
Dawar explained that the driver, who initially spoke to him in Hindi, suddenly started behaving rudely. He expressed his frustration, noting, "It's not about language here, it's about an arrogant and irresponsible person using the Kannada language as a smokescreen to continue scamming gullible people who travel to Bengaluru for work."
The video quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions. Some supported Dawar's stance on the importance of decent service, while others emphasized the need for mutual respect and understanding between passengers and drivers, regardless of language differences.
This is not the first time cab drivers in Bengaluru have been accused of rude or indecent behavior towards passengers based on language issues.
