In Kerala, an IAS officer named K Gopalakrishnan has filed a police complaint after discovering several WhatsApp groups, bearing religious names, were created listing him as the group administrator. These groups, named "Mallu Hindu Officers" and "Mallu Muslim Officers," were formed using his phone number, sparking controversy.

The officer learned of the groups only when a friend alerted him to their existence. He informed the police that his contact information was used to create multiple groups without his consent, and other officers from his contact list were also added without his knowledge.

There are suspicions that the officer’s phone may have been hacked, which could have enabled the unauthorized creation of these groups. Police have now initiated an investigation based on his complaint to uncover the origin and intent behind this activity.
