Hot Air Balloon Rides at Delhi’s Baansera Park Draw Crowds, From Kids to Seniors
First-time riders and curious visitors are flocking to Baansera Park as hot air balloon rides offer panoramic views of iconic Delhi landmarks
30-11-2025Visitors of all ages are flocking to the hot air balloon rides at Delhi’s Baansera Park near Sarai Kale Khan, turning the riverside spot into a lively attraction. For many, it’s their first-ever brush with the experience.
Pinki and Dinesh Kumar made the trip all the way from Ghaziabad just to enjoy the ride, while others arrived early in the morning to ensure they didn’t miss their turn.
Among the curious onlookers was Anil Jain from Rajouri Garden, now in his eighties, who said he was drawn purely by the novelty of it.
“It’s only the second time I’m seeing something like this here. I had my first and only hot air balloon ride about 25 years ago near the Red Fort,” he recalled.
Deepak Jain was one of the earliest riders of the day, purchasing tickets for himself, his wife, and his brother.
“It was a completely new experience for us, and we loved every moment. From above, we could spot Akshardham Temple, Humayun’s Tomb, and a scenic stretch of the river,” he said.
Babita Jain, who accompanied him, appreciated the adventure but felt improvements were needed to make the ride more accessible.
“We had to climb in and out of the basket, which can be difficult for older people. A small gate or easier entry point would be very helpful for senior citizens,” she suggested.
