The Indian government has called an all-party meeting today to address the recent fall of Sheikh Hasina's government in neighboring Bangladesh amid escalating protests.

Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled the country yesterday in response to massive demonstrations calling for her departure.

The meeting, scheduled to take place in Parliament, will feature a briefing by Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on the current situation in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been informed about the developments, but it remains unclear whether he will meet with Hasina.
