An official Hebrew-language account opened by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the social media platform X was suspended after just two posts, according to the Jerusalem Post.
The latest post, shared on Sunday, read, "The Zionist regime made a mistake, and misjudged Iran. We will show it the strength, capability, and resolve of the Iranian nation." The initial post, from Saturday, simply stated, "In the name of Allah, the merciful." Both messages were posted following Israeli strikes on Iranian military sites last week.
Khamenei frequently addresses Israel in Hebrew on his main X account, often using assertive language. On Sunday, he commented on Israel’s recent airstrikes, stating they shouldn't be exaggerated or dismissed entirely. While Israel may aim to amplify the effects of its actions, he noted, it would be equally unwise for Iran to trivialize the strikes, according to a report by CNN.
“They are miscalculating Iran,” Khamenei said on his website. "They still do not fully understand the strength, innovation, and determination of the Iranian people. We must ensure they recognize these qualities.”
Iran reported that the Israeli airstrikes, which targeted its military installations, resulted in the deaths of two soldiers. The Israeli strikes simultaneously hit missile production facilities, surface-to-air missile installations, and other military sites, which it labeled as part of Iran’s “aerial capabilities.”
Israel stated that these actions marked the end of its response to Iran's October 1 missile attack, confirming its aircraft returned safely and the mission was “accomplished.” Iran's air force later verified the strikes on military locations in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces, adding that only limited damage was sustained.
