Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Director Anant Ambani and bp CEO Murray Auchincloss celebrated a significant milestone on September 26, as they inaugurated the 500th Jio-bp Pulse EV charging station at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). This event also marked the installation of the 5,000th Jio-bp Pulse charging point in India.
According to an official release, visitors to the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, Jio World Plaza, and the Jio World Convention Centre will now have access to this newly installed charging facility.
Jio-bp, the brand under which Reliance BP Mobility Ltd (RBML) operates, is a joint venture between Reliance Industries Ltd and global energy leader bp, focusing on fuel and mobility solutions in India. Over the past year, Jio-bp’s network of EV charging stations has grown rapidly from 1,300 to 5,000, with 95% of these stations offering fast charging capabilities.

bp's CEO, Murray Auchincloss, emphasized the company’s commitment to scaling up EV charging solutions as part of its transition towards becoming an integrated energy company. "By leveraging both bp and RIL's strengths, we’re creating convenient and strategic charging options for customers," he said.
Jio-bp has also rolled out industry-first 480kW chargers at key locations, including malls, public parking areas, corporate parks, and hotels, offering fast and reliable services for EV owners.
