Last month, Jio reduced the price of its JioCinema Premium ad-free subscription plan from Rs 59 to Rs 29 per month for a single device. Now, the company has introduced a new pricing plan, offering the JioCinema Premium ad-free subscription for Rs 299 for a full year, a significant discount from the previous annual fee of Rs 999.

However, unlike the JioCinema Premium Family plan, which permits usage on up to four devices for Rs 59 per month, there is no annual family subscription option available. Until recently, JioCinema did not provide an ad-free plan. The introduction of these new monthly and annual plans not only ensures an ad-free viewing experience but also enables users to stream content in up to 4K resolution, with the exception of live sports.

In contrast to other OTT platforms like Amazon Prime Video, which now include advertisements for paid subscribers, JioCinema is taking a different approach by offering one of the most economical ad-free experiences. Opting for the annual plan can be a cost-effective choice for those interested in JioCinema's content, as it provides identical benefits to the monthly plan at a lower cost.

Similar to the monthly subscription, the annual package grants access to a wide array of content from services like HBO, Peacock, and Paramount Plus. However, certain regional content, such as IPL matches, remains accessible for free under the ad-supported model.

JioCinema is accessible across various platforms, including iPhone, Android, Google TV, FireOS, Apple TV, and web browsers. According to Jio, the streaming quality is contingent upon the screen's resolution.
