Bollywood actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut has won the Mandi Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 74,755 votes, the Election Commission of India confirmed on June 4. Competing in her first political race, Ranaut defeated Congress heavyweight Vikramaditya Singh, receiving 537,022 votes to Singh's 462,267.

In her victory speech, Ranaut expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating to ANI, "I am emotional at the moment. I am grateful that the people of Mandi elected the BJP and supported the good governance of PM Modi."

The BJP also saw a significant victory in Hamirpur, with former Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur winning by a margin of 182,357 votes against Congress's Satpal Raizada. Thakur secured 607,068 votes, while Raizada obtained 424,711.

Reflecting on his win, Thakur told ANI, "This win is for the people. BJP has won all four seats in Himachal Pradesh. Under PM Modi's leadership, the NDA is set to form the government. In the next five years, we will focus on further development in Hamirpur. BJP and NDA are leading with around 300+ seats, whereas the INDI alliance is around 230 seats, so there is a significant difference. There won't be any problem in forming the government."

The BJP has thus far secured two seats in Himachal Pradesh—Mandi and Hamirpur—and is leading in the Kangra and Shimla constituencies.

According to the Election Commission's updated tally at 6 pm, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in 292 seats, while the Congress-led INDI Alliance is ahead in 232 seats.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA had secured a total of 353 seats, with the BJP claiming 303 of those, while the Congress-led UPA won 93 seats, with Congress itself securing 52 seats.
