Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third term on Sunday at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The event, attended by 8,000 guests including foreign dignitaries, industrialists, and film stars, was overshadowed on social media by an unexpected guest caught on camera.
A viral video shows a cat-like animal in the background as BJP MP Durga Das Uikey greeted President Droupadi Murmu after taking his oath. The clip has sparked wild speculation online about the identity of the animal—was it a leopard, an ordinary cat, or a dog?
Social media users shared various theories. One user remarked, "Lmao..is it edited or what? How come no one noticed this. Looks like a big cat." Another commented, "Seems a damn leopard due to tail and gait. People were really lucky it peacefully passed." A third user added, "You can notice it here as well in the first 5 seconds, probably a domesticated cat."
During the ceremony, President Murmu administered the oath of office and secrecy to a 72-member Council of Ministers, which includes 30 cabinet ministers, 36 Ministers of State (MoS), and five MoS with independent charge. Key figures such as Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, and S Jaishankar retained their positions as Cabinet ministers. The new Council also features 11 ministers from NDA alliance partners.
PM Modi expressed his commitment to serving India's 140 crore citizens and working with his Council of Ministers to propel the nation to greater heights of progress. On Monday morning, he signed his first file, focusing on the welfare of farmers.
