French President Emmanuel Macron offered heartfelt condolences on the passing of industrialist Ratan Tata, commending his influence on innovation and manufacturing while also recognizing his role in fostering strong relations between India and France. In his statement, Macron referred to Tata as "a dear friend of France."

"France has lost a dear friend from India. Ratan Tata’s visionary leadership helped elevate industries in both India and France, especially in the fields of innovation and manufacturing. His humanistic approach, immense philanthropic efforts, and humility will define his lasting legacy," Macron said.

He extended his "deepest condolences" to Tata's family and the people of India, adding, "We will honor your lifelong dedication to society with admiration and respect."

Ratan Tata, who led the Tata Group for over 20 years and transformed it into a global powerhouse, passed away at the age of 86 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday night. The Padma Vibhushan recipient was cremated on Thursday with full state honors, as tributes poured in from across the world.

US Ambassador Eric Garcetti stated, "India and the world have lost a giant with a giant heart," while paying homage to Tata.

Microsoft CEO Bill Gates praised Tata as a "visionary leader whose commitment to improving lives left a lasting impact on India—and the world." He added, "His absence will be felt worldwide, but his enduring legacy will continue to inspire future generations."

Google CEO Sundar Pichai also highlighted Tata's mentorship and its significance in shaping modern Indian business leadership. Pichai tweeted that Tata "leaves behind an extraordinary legacy in both business and philanthropy, having played a key role in developing India's business leadership. He was deeply committed to making India a better place."

On Thursday, hundreds of people, including corporate leaders, politicians like Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and celebrities, gathered in Mumbai to pay their final respects to Ratan Tata.
