Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge experienced a brief health issue during a rally in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir, on Sunday. Despite the incident, Kharge assured the crowd that he was in no hurry to leave the political arena, vowing to continue his fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"We will restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, and I will not stop until that is achieved. At 83 years old, I am not going anywhere soon. I will remain alive long enough to see Modi defeated," the Congress chief said, addressing the rally.

Kharge had flown to Jasrota to campaign for Congress candidates in the upcoming assembly elections and was scheduled to address another rally in Ramnagar, Udhampur district.

According to Jammu and Kashmir Congress vice president Ravindra Sharma, Kharge felt dizzy during the event and was taken for a medical check-up. Doctors were called in, and their advice will determine whether he proceeds with his next engagement.
