The Mumbai Police issued a traffic advisory urging commuters to avoid Marine Drive as thousands of excited fans gathered to welcome the Indian cricket team following their T20 World Cup victory in Barbados. The announcement came as traffic came to a standstill along the busy road in south Mumbai, with cars unable to move amidst a swelling crowd of enthusiastic supporters.

The entire stretch from Nariman Point to Churchgate was packed with fans eagerly awaiting the victory parade near Wankhede Stadium. Cheers and chants filled the air, punctuated by occasional bursts of rain that did little to dampen the spirits of the ecstatic crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes and the World Cup trophy.

Earlier, the Indian team arrived at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to a celebratory "water salute" as they landed. The atmosphere remained jubilant despite overcast skies, with fans demonstrating unwavering support for their beloved team.
