During the grand wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant earlier this year, select guests were reportedly gifted luxurious watches valued at approximately ₹1.5 crore each. However, singer Mika Singh, who performed at the wedding, expressed his disappointment at not being among the recipients of the extravagant gift, despite being paid handsomely for his performance.
In an interview with Lallantop, Mika candidly shared his experience and feelings about the event. “I performed at Anant Ambani’s wedding, and he was extremely generous with everyone, including me. But I was disappointed about one thing—I didn’t get the watch that other close guests received,” Mika said.
He humorously added, “Anant bhai, I’m like your younger brother. You gave watches to everyone else… At another concert in the US, I was gifted a gold chain and a watch, which I didn’t even expect. But at the Ambanis’ event, I had expectations! So, Anant bhai, next time I visit your home, give me whatever you like.”
When questioned about his remuneration for the performance, Mika declined to disclose the exact amount but hinted at its magnitude. “The fees I received were substantial. I can say that I earned enough to comfortably sustain myself for five years. I don’t have major expenses, so it was more than sufficient,” he explained.
Anant Ambani, the youngest son of industrialist Mukesh Ambani, tied the knot with Radhika Merchant on July 12 in a lavish ceremony held at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. The celebrations continued with the Shubh Aashirwad ceremony on July 13, attended by family, friends, and prominent figures from various industries.
