Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude to the people of Haryana for their overwhelming support in the recent state elections, labeling the BJP's victory as a success for "development and good governance." With the BJP winning 48 out of 90 seats, it marks an unprecedented third consecutive term for the party in Haryana, surpassing the majority mark of 46 seats. The Congress party secured 37 seats.
"I bow to the people of Haryana for once again giving the Bharatiya Janata Party a clear majority," PM Modi stated, promising that the government would work tirelessly to fulfill the aspirations of the public. He emphasized that no effort would be spared in serving the people.
In a message of thanks to party members, PM Modi acknowledged their hard work and commitment, highlighting that their efforts contributed significantly to the BJP's success. “My heartfelt congratulations to all my fellow party workers,” he wrote on X, underscoring the importance of effectively communicating the party's development agenda to the electorate.
Meanwhile, the Congress party expressed dissatisfaction with the election results, alleging that the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) had been manipulated and accusing the BJP of undermining the people's choice. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh shared his concerns with the media, stating, "I have been in touch with the Election Commission all afternoon. We have received serious complaints about the counting process and the functioning of EVMs in at least three districts. We are gathering this information and hope to present it to the Election Commission soon."
