Actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has expressed strong condemnation of the Hyderabad authorities for the "unlawful" demolition of his N-Convention Centre in Madhapur. According to Akkineni, the demolition occurred despite an existing court order that had granted an interim stay on the process.

The authorities contend that the N-Convention Centre was constructed on land that encroached upon Tammidikunta lake, which falls within designated buffer zones. The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) and other municipal bodies have been engaged in removing such encroachments to address water-logging issues in the area.

In a statement posted on X, Akkineni clarified that the land on which the centre was built is "patta land" and affirmed that no part of the lake's buffer zone was encroached upon. He also noted that the Telangana High Court had issued a stay order against any previous demolition notices. Akkineni criticized the demolition as being based on "misinformation" and reported that no prior notice was given before the action.

The actor emphasized that he would have personally demolished the structure if the court had ruled against him, but he remains committed to seeking legal relief for what he describes as wrongful actions by the authorities.

The N-Convention Centre, managed by N3 Enterprises and jointly owned by Akkineni and Nalla Preetham, has been at the center of legal disputes regarding its construction and land use.
