Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu extended his condolences to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the passing of Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of the Tata Group. The 86-year-old business titan passed away on Wednesday night after battling a prolonged illness at Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital.

In his message, Netanyahu expressed sorrow over the loss, saying, "I, along with many in Israel, mourn the passing of Ratan Naval Tata, a proud son of India and a strong advocate of the friendship between our two nations. Please convey my heartfelt condolences to his family."

Netanyahu joined a host of global leaders paying tribute to Ratan Tata, who was regarded as one of India’s most esteemed industrialists. U.S. Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, also expressed his sorrow, recalling Tata’s support when he was appointed ambassador. "India and the world have lost a giant with a giant heart. Ratan Tata was the first to congratulate me when I was nominated as ambassador," Garcetti said.

French President Emmanuel Macron praised Tata’s role in strengthening ties between India and France, describing him as a visionary. "Ratan Tata’s leadership greatly contributed to the growth of industries in both India and France. France has lost a dear friend. His legacy is one of philanthropy, humility, and a humanist outlook," Macron remarked.

Top business leaders also honored Tata’s memory, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Pichai reminisced about his last meeting with Tata, saying, "During my last meeting with him at Google, we discussed Waymo’s progress. His vision was truly inspiring. He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy in business and philanthropy."

Bill Gates reflected on Tata’s impact, stating, "Ratan Tata was a visionary whose efforts to improve lives have left a lasting mark on both India and the world. I was fortunate to meet him on several occasions, and his sense of purpose and dedication to humanity always moved me."

Tributes continue to pour in from around the world as Ratan Tata’s legacy as an industrialist, philanthropist, and mentor to future leaders remains deeply cherished.
