The seating plan for the 18th Lok Sabha has been finalised, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi retaining his prime seat at Seat No. 1. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah will continue to occupy Seat Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, initially assigned Seat No. 58 in the November 29 circular, has now been reallocated to Seat No. 4, following a revised seating directive issued on Monday. Notably, Seat Nos. 4 and 5 were left vacant in the initial list but have now been updated. Seats for other key ministers, including Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and Health Minister JP Nadda, remain unoccupied, reflecting their customary practice of working outside the standard seating arrangement.

Opposition Bench Arrangements

Senior opposition leaders have retained prominent seats in the front row. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition, will sit at Seat No. 498. Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has been assigned Seat No. 355, while Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Sudeep Bandopadhyay will occupy Seat No. 354. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal is seated next to Rahul Gandhi at Seat No. 497, underscoring the Congress party's strong representation.

Among the changes, SP MP Awadhesh Prasad, celebrated for his Lok Sabha win from Faizabad, has been moved to the second row at Seat No. 357, alongside Dimple Yadav at Seat No. 358. Both SP and TMC retain single representatives in the front row.

Priyanka Gandhi’s Debut in Parliament

Newly elected Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, making her debut in the Lok Sabha, has been allocated Seat No. 517 in the fourth row. She will sit alongside Congress MPs Adoor Prakash from Kerala and Pradyut Bordoloi from Assam, both second-term members.

The revised seating plan reflects the hierarchy of political leadership, while ensuring balanced representation for both ruling and opposition benches in the 18th Lok Sabha.
