In a major breach of the ceasefire agreement, the Pakistani Army crossed into Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, leading to heightened tensions along the Line of Control (LoC), Army sources confirmed.

According to officials, the incident occurred on April 1 in the Krishna Ghati sector, where a mine blast was triggered due to the intrusion by Pakistani forces. This was followed by unprovoked firing and a ceasefire violation from the other side of the border.

Indian troops responded swiftly and effectively, using controlled and calibrated measures to counter the aggression. The situation is now under control and is being closely monitored by security forces, the source added.
