Delhi Police's Special Task Force (STF) arrested Sanjeev Jain, the Managing Director and CEO of Parsvnath Developers Private Limited, at Delhi International Airport following a 60-kilometer pursuit. Jain reportedly attempted to evade arrest, leading to the chase.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary, Jain was detained on Saturday by the STF team from Shahdara after non-bailable warrants were issued against him for failing to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
The warrants were issued on July 18 in connection with a dispute dating back to 2017, involving complainants Rajat Babbar and others. Jain had several warrants pending against him at the Shahdara Police Station, including four non-bailable and one bailable warrant.
Jain appeared before the NCDRC on Sunday following his arrest.
